In-house Training and Coaching: Rich Documentation Design
The Rich Documentation Design Concept with its Impulse Method and Minimal Brainwork Principles is a method I developed for streamlining bloated technical documentation and giving it more value for its users.
Is your documentation growing too large? Do you have the feeling that you might be describing more than necessary? Does your documentation contain “everything”, but do users still prefer to contact support?
This training will teach you first-hand the principles of the Rich Documentation Design Concept, which I have developed.
With the help of the concept:
▪You take into account the fact that most people are much more capable of using technology today than they were in the past.
▪You stop describing “everything” but only describe what your customers are actually missing based on their prior knowledge and skills.
▪You create documentation that has a high “nutrient density” and is rich in immediately usable content but poor in useless dead weight.
▪You save unnecessarily high creation, maintenance, and translation costs.
▪You save your customers unnecessary time searching and separating valuable information from useless clutter.
The training consists of 2 parts:
▪Morning: presentation and discussion of the concept and its principles
▪Afternoon: workshop on the specific application of the principles to your own documents
This training is aimed at technical writers as well as anyone who already has experience in creating technical documentation. Also, it is ideal to complement the training .
